Success Story from the UAE - MUN Academy Graduate - Jayathma Gamage

Hi! My name is Jayathma Gamage and I am a 12th grade student studying in The Westminster School, Dubai. I have joined the United Ambassadors UAE Summer Program recently and prior to that I have taken part in the MUN held at my school.

Every day, and every workshop of the MUN Academy, was a whole new experience. All the activities were very interesting and I have enjoyed every single part of it. Personally, my most favorite was the "Back to the Future Crisis Committee" held during the final day as well as the Champion of Poles Game. I found the Negotiation activity the most challenging along with learning to draft resolutions. Last but not least, I got a chance to make a lot of friends through this MUN Academy.

The final conference was a special highlight which I felt during the 5 days session and it helped me to developed my public speaking & negotiation skills. I am quiet happy with the responses and feedback I have received from the staff as well as my fellow delegates. This program definitely boosted my confidence levels and helped to gain a lot more knowledge about MUN activities.

After the program, I have joined a few MUNs and also started the MUN club in my school which I feel a great achievement in my life. Also my intention is to continue to attend future MUNs as much as possible.
