Model United Nations Conference (UA-MUNC)

United Ambassadors Model United Nations Conference in Geneva (UA-MUNC) is a pioneering conference that offers the most accurate, innovative (and F.U.N) simulation of the United Nations and its decision-making process, as it follows UN4MUN Rules of Procedure, and is offering new Committees in the UN4MUN platform. The conference will take place from 27 November - 2 December 2019 at the United Nations Office in Geneva, the International University of Geneva, & the Movenpick Hotel, Geneva.
UA-MUNC is the first in the world to offer accurate simulations of UN main organs and agencies including the International Court of Justice, the ECOSOC High-Level Political Forum, the Commission on the Status of Women, the UN Human Rights Council, the UN HCR Global Refugee Summit, as well as the UN Security Council and General Assembly, all developed in consultation with relevant UN experts and staff. Amidst this engaging, cutting edge simulation of the UN, delegates will have the opportunity to discuss a diverse array of topics that are relevant to the UN and the international community today and gain a practical understanding of the decision-making process of the real United Nations. This MUN Conference is the flagship MUN simulation organized by United Ambassadors in Europe.
Eligibility:
The conference welcomes high school and university students aged 12-29.
*University delegations may be led by a head delegate or faculty adviser.
*High school delegations must be accompanied by at least one adult chaperone/ faculty adviser who registers to attend as an observer.
*MUN conference organizers, teachers, MUN advisors or university graduates are more than welcome to attend the conference as observers.
Schedule & Venue:
The conference is taking place at the United Nations Office in Geneva, the International University of Geneva, and the Movenpick Hotel.
A) 27 & 28 November 2019 2019: The UN4MUN Workshop by United Ambassadors. The workshop has a separate registration process.
B) 29 November - 2 December 2019: UA-MUNC, United Ambassadors Model United Nations Conference.
Certificates and Awards:
Certificates of participation are awarded to all delegates who attended at least 80% of the conference and its committee sessions.
Conference awards are issued to delegates who proved outstanding performance and positive contribution to the discourse of the conference.
Individual awards include The Diplomacy Award, Honorable Mention, Best Position Paper. Delegation Awards include Outstanding Large and Small Delegation. Award winners are recognized during the closing ceremony at the United Nations Office in Geneva.
Topics & Committees:
The theme of UA-MUNC 2019 is
"Global Cooperation to Address Modern Challenges: Technology, Social Justice, Human Rights, and Quality Education as Prerequisites to Sustainable Global Development."
For the first time in history, the committees simulated will include the International Court of Justice, the Human Rights Council, the ECOSOC High Level Political Forum, Commission on the Status of Women, the General Assembly, and the Security Council. The topics of UA-MUNC are carefully selected to offer a rich, diverse, relevant and exciting set of highly trending topics that are on the UN Agenda, and that are plaguing the international community today. UA-MUN Training Workshop
A 2-day training workshop on UN4MUN will be held on the 27th and 28th of November, 2019. This workshop has a separate registration process. Please note that chaperones, faculty advisers, head delegates, observers, and students attending this workshop must register separately for the workshop.
The UA-MUN Training Workshop is a comprehensive training institute designed to introduce participants to the most accurate simulation of the United Nations and its decision-making process, work, & priorities. It is held by United Ambassadors with the participation of multiple UN experts and staff, Stanford certified educators and subject matter experts. This workshop serves as a valuable opportunity for UA-MUNC Delegates to prepare for the conference. See here.

*Registered delegates for both the UN4MUN Workshop and UA-MUNC receive: Full 2 days of comprehensive UN4MUN training, committee/ country assignments, full conference and committee session active participation for 4 full days at the UNOG, academic resources, conference booklet and material, certificate of completion from United Ambassadors, and eligibility to give a speech at the UN and/ or receive conference awards. *Note: Conference registration fees are for cost recovery. Free attendance of UN-based plenaries is available.

The Conference is taking place at the UN Office in Geneva, the International University of Geneva, and the Movenpick Hotel Geneva.
