Registration Details

 

Eligibility

The conference welcomes all active MUN participants aged 12-30, who may be high school or university students or graduates.

*University delegations may be led by a head delegate or faculty adviser.

*High school delegations must be accompanied by at least one adult chaperone/ faculty adviser who registers to attend as an observer. 

*MUN conference organizers, teachers, MUN advisors or university graduates are more than welcome to attend as delegates/ observers.

UA-MUN Training Workshop by United Ambassadors and UN guest speakers - UN HQ NYC and/ or Grand Hyatt NYC.

UA-MUNC New York (Model UN Conference) at the UN Headquarters NYC and the Grand Hyatt Hotel NYC.

 

Ideal applicants must demonstrate a combination of MUN experience as well as a passion for MUN, which is required to develop a well-informed opinion on the potential and progress of Model UN conferences/ simulations worldwide. Our participants must be able to provide valuable recommendations and produce comprehensive resolutions that serve as a guide and inspiration to MUNers worldwide, as well as shape external viewers' understanding of Model United Nations.

Due to the advanced nature of this conference, prior MUN experience is required. Due to limited seats, acceptance is on a case by case basis.

 

Registration for UA-MUNC includes three components:

1- Conference participation, 2- Selection of accommodation package, 3- Selecting the socials option.

 

1- Conference participation:

 

Registration times have changed as the conference has been rescheduled to 2021.

*Early Registration fee is $195 per participant.​

*Regular Registration fee is $239 per participant.

 

Registered delegates/ participants receive: 

* Opportunity to actively participate in UA-MUNC committee sessions and contribution to the resolutions adopted by each committee, access to all program elements for 4 full days, the conference booklet, access to conference material, the delegate packet, branded lanyard and name tag, complimentary access to the United Nations Headquarters in New York for plenary sessions, discounted accommodation packages at the Grand Hyatt New York for conference duration, a chance to win one of many prestigious conference awards, and certificate of recognition from United Ambassadors upon conference completion.

 

**Note: Earlier registrants receive the opportunity to be selected to deliver a speech during the plenaries at the United Nations Headquarters in New York.
 

2- Accommodation Packages:

Accommodation packages are available to registered delegates at discounted rates through UA-MUNC at the Grand Hyatt Hotel. Rates for the rooms offered are tax included. It is the most convenient accommodation option for UA-MUNC participants.

 

Accommodation Packages at the Grand Hyatt Hotel, New York:

A) For delegates attending the UA-MUN Training Workshop and UA-MUNC: 

7-night accommodation package: 

Grand double room. 2 king-sized beds. Sleeps 2 - 4 people.

Check-in 30 July after 3 PM, check out 4 August before 11 AM.

Cost: $2,249 per room.

 

B) For delegates attending only UA-MUNC:

5-night accommodation package: 

Grand double room. 2 king-sized beds. Sleeps 2 - 4 people. 

Check-in 28 July after 3 PM, check out 4 August before 11 AM.

Cost: $1,649 per room.

The deadline to confirm hotel accommodation details with full payment is April 30th, 2020.

Kindly note that all hotel reservations are non-refundable and non-transferrable.

 

3. Socials/ UN Tour - Add-on Option:

Highly recommended option. Gives delegates the opportunity to participate in the conference social events and UN Tour.

 

Package fee: $139

* Guided UN Tour: Through the UN HQ before the opening ceremony of UA-MUNC.

* Evening Social Mixer: 3rd of April, 4 PM - 7 PM.

A great chance to network, unwind, dance and have fun over great food and music after the conference.

 

Note: Registration fees are non-refundable. United Ambassadors is a non-profit organization that does not charge any fee for access to the UN Headquarters. For those not wishing to pay registration fees, the option of free registration as a temporary external observer gives accepted waitlisted candidates the right to observe UA-MUNC's opening and closing ceremony for 1-2 hours at the UN HQ in New York. Please note, this type of registration does not allow participation in the actual Model United Nations Conference/ full program of events.
